WHAT YOU HAVE TO DO TO CREATE A LOCALIZED VERSION OF THIS LEARNING OBJECT

-- To create the localised version, duplicate the English language folder (named "en") and rename it to the two-letter code for your language (see: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_ISO_639-1_codes).

-- Inside the newly created folder you will have to translate all HTML files with an appropriate code editor of your choice.

-- In certain LOs, the subfolder "texts", contains the transcript of HTML pages or of embedded videos. It's intended as a further aid to people with visual impairment. SRT files serve to get localized subtitles for videos, when uploaded to YouTube platform. Consequently, also all files inside the subfolder "texts" should be translated into your language.

-- When you are done, send the zipped folder back to us, and we'll update the Linked Heritage web pages.

High definition videos are not included in the compressed folder.

Please note that it's important you don't use WYSIWYG editors, or any other editor that adds extra tags to the code.
When in doubt about which one to choose, please examine this Wikipedia comparison of text editors:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Comparison_of_text_editors.
If we had to recommend one, we would recommend jEdit (cross-platform, use it together with its XML/HTML plug-ins), or Notepad++ (Windows only), or Kate (Linux only). For MacOS a possibly good one is TextMate, though we have no first hand experience of it.

When in doubt, please, don't hesitate to contact us.
