Tricladida – in marine, freshwater, and terrestrial habitats.
Dugesia (planaria), with extended pharynx (1), threebranched intestine with numerous diverticula (2), reproductive system, nervous system with brain (a bilobate mass of ganglionic cells) and 2 main longitudinal nerve cords (3). Cross section (6).
Polycladida (14, 15), marine. Multibranched intestine with diverticula, nervous system with brain and many nerve cords.
Rhabdocoela, in marine, and freshwater habitats. Bulbous pharynx, simple intestine and 2 nerve cords (19, 20).
Catenulida, in marine, and freshwater habitats (21).
Protonephridium (4). Cross section of the tegument with rhabdites (7). Ocellum (8). Various types of larvae (16, 17, 18).
