Description
King Vittorio Emanuele III, together with the Minister of National Education Giuseppe Bottai (on the left, in a light-colored uniform), visiting the Volpi Centre for Electrology (Palazzo Vendramin Calergi) after the inauguration ceremony of the 26th Meeting of the Italian Society for the Advancement of Science (Società Italiana per il Progresso delle Scienze), held in the Sala dello Scrutinio of the Doge’s Palace in Venice on 12 September 1937.
Standing behind the King are university Fascist members selected by the GUF (Fascist University Youth) as assistant secretaries for each individual section of the meeting.
