1) External morphology: antennules, antennae; rostrum; compound stalked eyes. 5 pairs of walking legs, the first 3 pairs of which with terminal chelae. Pleon with a caudal posterior “fan”.
The internal structure can be seen after the removal of carapace: stomach, gut; digestive gland; heart with ostia, anterior and posterior aorta; gills; ovary; ventral ganglionic cord.
2) Mouth (o), cardiac and pyloric stomach. Circulatory system with heart and gill vessels.
3) A detail of the stomach showing the chitinous gastric mill with teeth.
