Class Chilopoda, Scolopendromorpha.
1) General morphology and ventral ganglionic chain.
2) Head with a pair of antennae; a pair of eyes consisting of groups of ocelli; 3 pairs of buccal appendages.
3) First trunk segment modified to form venom claws (forcipules) (4).
5) Tracheal system of branched air tubes that come from a pair of spiracles near the coxae.
6, 7) Reproductive male and female systems.
8, 9, 10) Subsequent developmental stages.
11) Class Symphyla: trunk segment 14 has a pair of trichobothria.
12) Class Pauropoda, with three-branched antennae.
