ICDI, EOSC-Pillar and the Italian contribution to EOSC. Federico Ruggieri
ICDI (Italian Computing and Data Infrastructure) is a forum created by representatives of major Italian Research Infrastructures and e-Infrastructures, with the aim of promoting synergies at the national level, and supporting Italian participation into the European Open Science Cloud (EOSC), the European Data Infrastructure (EDI) and HPC.
Italian participation to EOSC-Pillar (and EOSC-Secretariat) projects has been discussed and agreed in the ICDI meetings. The Italian Ministry of Education, Universities and Research, while joining the ICDI as Observer, is interested in this initiative especially if it will give support to the Ministry in elaborating the national positions with respect to the European initiatives under development.
