Questo volume raccoglie una selezione di contributi originariamente presentati al Convegno Internazionale "The Garden of Crossing Paths: The Manipulation and Rewriting of Medieval Texts", tenutosi presso l'Università degli Studi di Venezia, 28-30 ottobre 2004.
L'incontro è stato il risultato tangibile di un'iniziativa intrapresa congiuntamente da cinque Unità di Ricerca di Ateneo facenti parte di un Gruppo che negli ultimi anni ha lavorato ad un progetto interdisciplinare sul rimodellamento dei testi medievali in riscritture sia medievali che moderne.
